In the 1960s, Edward Lorenz showed that a butterfly flapping its wings in Brazil could, in theory, set off a tornado in Texas. We think teachers are like that butterfly. One sentence, an extra five minutes, a moment of patience can be what a child carries for the rest of their life, moving quietly outward from there.
