STRENGTHENING GOVT. TEAMS
We are co-designing hyperlocal, state-wide teacher training and capacity-building programs with
the state and local government
Our team partners with them to enhance efficiency and quality of teacher’s learning experience. These training sessions are targeted interventions in program design, operations, data and policy. This helps boost their targets, outcomes and impact.
Our goal is to equip teachers with simple and contextual tools and practices to create powerful learning experiences in classrooms for children to thrive.

Designing Competency Frameworks for Teachers and Principals
We are partnered with the In-Service Training Cell of the SCERT Delhi and have developed a first-of-its-kind Teacher Competency Framework. The framework is a guiding document for state-wide trainers to align on and evaluate key proficiencies that teachers need to build engaging learning experiences in the classroom.
Key Features
Broadly, the framework is broken down into 3 areas to define and measure:
-
Teaching methods that keep children at the centre and build safe and conducive learning environments
-
Creating spaces for teachers to build excellence in their practice
-
Build collective leadership through strong partnerships beyond the classroom
"These kinds of workshops and sessions should be conducted on a regular basis where the teachers have an opportunity to learn new classroom practices as well as for the sharing of best practices."

End-to-end digitisation of operations, monitoring and evaluation of programs
Capturing and analysing data is a crucial part of program design. We have developed and launched an app-based tool to help SCERT’s teams streamline processes for design, measuring and analysing impact and operations.
Key Features
The tools will help govt. teams to:
-
Measure impact on the ground and evaluate learnings
-
Aid decision-making for govt. stakeholders
-
Outline operational processes for state-wide teacher development programs
-
Reduce the amount of information lost with every level of training between teacher trainers, teachers and students
SEF COMPASS MIS
SEF's MIS is being used across all partner states to aid design, monitoring, and evaluation of teacher trainings, and has been used by Govt. trainers and teachers to track and analyse effectiveness of trainings.

Training and Capacity Building Programs for Trainers
We believe the only way to drive change at scale is to ensure we develop a model that can self-sustain in the long term. We are actively building specific capacity building programs that focus on strengthening the training and coaching teams within the state and local government bodies.
Key Features
The training is designed to make members feel confident and clear to:
-
Approach teacher training and capacity in a more strategic manner state-wide to drive tactical improvements at scale
-
Understand and study targeted needs of the local teachers and principals
-
Custom-build new training modules for the teachers that address the specific needs
-
Train facilitators to conduct highly engaging training workshops and programs effectively
-
Strengthen data collection and analyses that drive decision making
-
Increase efficiency in operations

"I feel that the design co-working groups were spaces that helped me grow and were very well designed.
I found the co-working group cooperative and had in built-collaboration. During my two-year journey right from facilitation to design skills, I got many opportunities to grow. I want to explore other co-working groups to upskill myself as it is important for the institution.”
