Shreya Gulati

Associate, Pre-service, Delhi

Shreya grew up in the vibrant, bustling lanes of Delhi, where the sounds of her childhood were shaped by chalk against blackboards and the soft cadence of her mother’s teaching. Her mother, who began tutoring at fifteen, was more than just a parent, she was a quiet force. Former students would often stop them on the street, eyes shining with gratitude, sharing how her teaching had changed their lives. For young Shreya, it felt like magic. How could one teacher leave such a lasting mark?

That quiet magic slowly took root and turned into purpose.

A master’s in Economics and a diploma in education deepened her understanding of the education system, revealing its cracks and calling her to be part of the fix.

Shreya joined SEF as an intern, driven by a simple belief: classrooms should spark wonder, not worry. She’s passionate about making learning joyful for every child and supporting teachers to feel confident, curious, and ready to lead.

When she’s not reimagining teacher education, Shreya is busy plotting her next travel escape through vlogs or unpacking the world’s big questions—one chai-fuelled geopolitics chat at a time.
