Sheelam believes that her education can help her be a changemaker for her community. She is our young and dynamic community assistant in our Paathshala program in Gular village. Sheelam graduated with a B.Ed degree from H.N.B Garhwal University. She believes that rural communities can be empowered to be agents of change to transform their own communities and villages and improve access to fundamental facilities like quality education, healthcare and sanitation. She is key to mobilising the community to take charge of our school transformation program in Gular and spends most of her time spreading awareness and educating the youth in leading the change.

Sheelam remembers being a shy girl who loved to eat all kinds of sweets.
