Associate, State Program, Punjab
Rishabh grew up in the heart of Delhi - Dilwalon Ki Dilli. Although he was an ambivert with a deep fear of speaking and communicating, life nudged him into unexpected spaces that helped him grow. His early career in customer support pushed him to confront those fears, and while balancing that, he continued giving tuitions something that quietly laid the foundation for his future in education.
His real shift came when he joined AAM Foundation, working with young adults on personality development and English communication. Hearing their stories, especially how their schooling had shaped their challenges made him realize how far the education system still is from what we collectively imagine it to be. This reflection moved him toward the Teach For India Fellowship, which he joined in 2023.
Placed in Sangam Vihar, Delhi, Rishabh taught English and Social Science to Grade 7 and 8 boys. His focus extended beyond academics: he set out to create a classroom culture of peace, love, harmony, and safety, something many of his students rarely experienced outside school. Over two years, he came to understand that transformation doesn’t happen instantly. You can’t change everything in that short time, but you can plant hope. For him, the goal wasn’t just academic improvement, it was helping children see reality, find their voice, and grow into leaders who would carry forward a vision larger than themselves.
After his fellowship, Rishabh’s journey took him to the heart of India Madhya Pradesh where he joined LEAD Group as an Academic Advisor. There, he worked with 27 schools, 54 coordinators, and over 500 teachers, supporting student outcomes through strong teacher planning, classroom observations, multimodal learning, and scaffolded instruction aligned with NCF 2023.
