Sheela Kamala Prasad has led efforts for equity and innovation in schools serving low-income communities for almost 20 years, starting with teaching rural Madhya Pradesh through the Indicorps Fellowship right after college. She was a start-up team member of Teach For India, launched Teach For India’s Delhi site as its first City Director, coached programmatic leaders across Teach for America, and led and scaled training and support for Teach For America's high-impact tutoring program, Ignite. Sheela currently leads innovation efforts in Ignite, where she pilots and scales new offerings for US school districts that support students to thrive in the 21st century. Sheela has a BA from Brown University.
