Kanchi has completed her post-graduation from Christ University Bangalore with a degree in English and Culture Studies. As she was pursuing her program, she felt a nudge to explore the social sector. Her summer internship with a handloom cooperative fueled her desire to join the sector further. She started looking for opportunities and decided to join Teach For India Fellowship.

After completing her fellowship, she joined SEF, where she supports the creation of an enabling ecosystem for government teachers in the state.

As a child, Kanchi was talkative and as an adult she continues to be talkative.
